Robust Performance in Challenging Year

Tullis Russell has continued to deliver robust results in the last financial year to March 2021.

Commenting, chairman Fred Bowden stated, “Our PBT of over £1.4m and strong cash performance confirms the group’s decision to focus on targeting speciality markets, underpinned by significant investment in new coating and slitting at our Bollington plant and a new manufacturing location in Weihai, China.”

“Our new financial year has started strongly, despite the significant challenges with continued Covid uncertainty and increasing material and transport costs and we remain confident of delivering improving performance in the year ahead”.

EOA Conference

In November 2018 the Tullis Russell Employee Ownership Board joined our fellow UK employee owned businesses at the EOA Annual Conference.

The 13th EOA Annual Conference saw more than 650 delegates meet to be involved, be informed and be inspired at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole NEC. The conference, which for the third time was held over two full days was sponsored by EOA member Capital for Colleagues.

Employee ownership is at the core of the culture and values of Tullis Russell and it is essential we join our fellow Employee Owned business in sharing and understanding all aspects of our unique structure.

Security Document World

Security Document World is a leading industry exhibition and conference which provides a key meeting place for government and industry suppliers and buyers and all involved in secure ID and government identity solutions. It also provides a key networking location for the security print market in general. After many years attending the event in Westminster Tullis Russell will continue to exhibit as the event grows and moves to its new home at ExCel in the Historic London Royal Docks just past Canary Wharf.

2018’s event attracted over 3,000 visitors from over 80 nations, so we are ready at the 2019 event to welcome customers and potential customers to discuss our coated paper and film solutions for the security market. Come and visit us at stand S74 between 11-13th June 2019.

Science and Media Partners Security Document World’s success in London will look to be replicated this year with an Identity Week Asia. This event will combine Digital:ID Asia, Planet Biometrics Asia and SDW Asia. Again Tullis Russell will attend with a stand S327 between 8-9th October in the Suntec Convention Centre Singapore.

Chinese Investment Tullis Russell Weihai

Tullis Russell continues to develop its position as the leading quality Decal and Transfer paper producer by an investment in manufacturing in China. Under the vision of HJ Yoon, Managing Director of Tullis Russell Korea, Tullis Russell Weihai has been established. The new factory under construction and will commence operations in Late Spring 2019. This new facility will work alongside the current Dongguan and Tangshan offices to further increase the Tullis Russell footprint in China.
Joining the Tullis Russell team to lead this investment in China is Mr Lee. Mr Lee will work with the current and an expanded sales team to support the Chinese market with Tullis Russell market leading products.
