Tullis Russell announces FSC® commitment

As part of our commitment to building a more sustainable future, Tullis Russell is pleased to announce that we have successfully increased the proportion of FSC paper in our supply chain, in line with our target of having a positive impact on the environment by 2030.
What does the FSC certification mean?
The Forest Stewardship Council®, or FSC, is a not for profit organisation which supports the responsible management of the world’s forests. This involves setting the standards that ensures forest management is environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable. As a result, this helps to tackle the challenges we face in terms of deforestation and climate change.
Our commitment to the environment.
Tullis Russell’s certification from the FSC sits as just one pillar in our commitment to sustainability. Internally we have a identified 6 goals, in line with the United Nations agenda for Sustainable Development, where our business can play an active role in working towards achieving these goals. We have also selected a team internally that are dedicated to ensuring that that the business is adopting the approaches and practices required in our day to day operations that will help us achieve those goals.
What does this mean for our customers?
In a world where sustainability is high on the agenda for many consumers, governments and other key stakeholders, it is becoming critical that businesses start to make conscious decisions in their supply chain in order take more responsibility and play their part. As a result of our certification, Tullis Russell are able to provide customers with transparency and therefore confidence in the products we supply them with.

Tullis Russell Welcomes New Product Development Director to Drive Innovation

We’re delighted to announce the appointment of Geoff Henstock, the new Product Development Director for our Security and Specialty Coating business. Geoff’s role is a pivotal addition to our Technical team as we continue to drive forward our innovation strategy.
With a background in chemistry and over 30 years of experience in Research and Development, Geoff brings a blend of scientific expertise and cross-sector insight, having worked across FMCG, aerospace and automotive industries.
Geoff will play a central role in shaping our product innovation roadmap, identifying new market opportunities, and collaborating closely with our commercial teams to deliver solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
On his new role, Geoff commented:

The company’s strong heritage, commitment to innovation, and employee-owned culture were key factors that attracted me to the role. Tullis Russell Achieves AA+ BRCGS Accreditation

Tullis Russell is pleased to announce that our security and specialty coating business has been awarded an improved AA+ rating in our BRCGS Global Standard Packaging Materials Certification, the highest accolade in food packaging safety and quality standards.
Highest Rating
Following our AA achievement last year, the AA+ rating was awarded following an unannounced audit and inspection, highlighting our commitment to delivering the highest standards of product safety and consumer protection at all times.
What is BRCGS?
The Brand Reputation through Compliance of Global Standards is a globally recognised accreditation which evaluates the operations and procedures put in place by manufacturers and retailers to ensure high levels of safety and quality across the supply chain. The accreditation involves a rigorous process covering areas such as site standards, process control and commitment from the business as a whole.
What this means for our customers?
As the most recognised certification in food packaging safety, this accreditation means that our customers can be assured and confident in the products that we supply, with the AA+ rating proving how we are continuously adopting these strict practices every single day.
