    Product Development Manager

    Job Purpose

    The primary purpose of the role is to lead product development in support of strategic growth plans, from idea and opportunity assessment to development work, scale up and production and market qualification.

    • Assessing ideas and opportunities for new products, including deliverables, timescales, benefits, resource requirements and costs.
    • Identifying and engaging with sources of information and expertise, including suppliers, consultants, test houses and academia, identifying where they can be useful in product development projects.
    • Carrying out effective laboratory development tests to improve the right first time rate in trials and manufacturing.
    • Planning and support trials on TR production equipment and at 3rd parties.
    • Raise and support proposals for process and capital investments, developing the business case for change.
    • Providing technical support to the business in areas such as specifications, material changes, customer complaints and operational problem solving.

    This is a management role where expert consultancy to the business will be essential and will require working with the global Tullis Russell Group in China and South Korea.

    Qualifications/Experience

    • Degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific discipline
    • Ability to plan and manage research projects to achieve required outcomes
    • Knowledge & industrial experience of chemistry, materials, coating, and associated processes
    • Experience of problem-solving techniques
    • Ability to gather complex information and propose routes to apply it to coating formulation.

    Business Development Specialist – Image Transfer

    2nd March 2023

    Job Purpose

    To generate new business through the sale of new and existing Image Transfer products.

    Development of sales into new markets through the development of strategic alliances with customers and channel partners.

    To maintain our existing core business with established partners through robust and professional account management.

    Key Tasks

    Deliver the budgeted Volumes, Revenue and Margin for the defined territories/customer portfolio.

    Achieve sales targets at defined Strategic Development Accounts.

    Maintain an accurate monthly forecast for expected sales in line with overall company forecasting processes.

    Contribute to the annual budgeting process and strategy review.

    Achieve budget levels of added value sales in your defined territories through existing and new product development.

    Identify current and future market opportunities, product solutions to feed into the new product development pipeline.

    Educate the technical and product development functions on future customer and market requirements.

    Provide timely reports and analysis relating to relevant customer contact.

    Keep abreast of competitor activity, technically driven market developments and update CRM/Market Maps.

    The Candidate

    Self-motivated, passionate, well organised, can-do attitude, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Strong interpersonal skills and ability to access new partners at the correct levels of relationship.

    Experience and sound technical knowledge of coatings, digital printing, and/or allied industries.

    Willing to travel internationally on a regular basis to support our partners.

    Ability to communicate fluently in foreign languages an advantage.
